Life experiences for Laurie has included small business ownership: an air conditioning & asbestos removal co., textile screenprinting co., and the magazine publication "Equest". An avid animal lover, Laurie has a past 20 year involvement in the equestrian world of horse showing & breeding before her small animal adventures with Jack Russell Terriers and Bengal Cats. This prior experience with horse care, training, and showing, has given her intrinsic knowledge that has passed onward into all aspects involved in small animal husbandry.

Life experiences for David has been as an executive with one of the largest insurance corporations in North America, and as a Vice President of an automotive industry company.
David has also been a City Councillor of the City of Port Moody, President of the Police Board Association of British Columbia, and currently serving on the Board of Directors for the Automotive Dealers Standards Association.
Until he met Laurie, David was a "dog" person, but soon came to love cats through the introduction of Laurie's Bengals. Now, he sleeps with a bedful of cats & dogs, faithfully helps clean kitty litter pans and is a full fledged "Kitty Nanny".
